Mental Health Awareness
On World Mental Health Day staff members sported green ribbons, and even some green clothing as a symbol of their support and awareness of mental health. Staff members were asked to take 40 seconds of action and tell someone that they appreciate them, find someone and give them a hug, check in on those who appear strong and those who may not, etc.
The 40 seconds of action is inspired by the World Mental Health Day's 2019 theme. It is a sensitive topic. If you would like more information please feel free to click here: https://www.who.int/docs/default-source/mental-health/suicide/flyer-40seconds-web.pdf?sfvrsn=5ba643c_2
The goal was to spark a conversation about mental health, as it is often a topic put aside. It is never the wrong time to start a conversation about something so vital to our lives. Continue to ask people "How are you?" because there may be a time that they do not respond with "Good."
