The Maritime Office Complex (MOC) at the Port of Palm Beach is undergoing a significant HVAC system upgrade to replace aging equipment. Trane U.S. Inc. has been selected to refurbish ten existing air handling units (AHUs), incorporating new components such as chilled water coils and blower parts, along with advanced corrosion protection and a 5-year warranty. This upgrade will also modernize the building’s automation with the introduction of BACnet controllers. ECF Engineering Consultants has been tasked with overseeing the Phase II modifications, ensuring that all project activities adhere to specifications, industry standards, and local building codes. Their responsibilities include project management, technical oversight, quality assurance, compliance, financial tracking, risk management, and final commissioning of the systems. The project is expected to span six months, with ECF providing continuous oversight to guarantee its success.
