Just last week, ECF was able to send a team consisting of Jolie Gonzalez, Tameka Augustin, Maxie Kirk Williams, and Lawrence Howell to travel to Orlando to participate in the Southeastern Electric Exchange [S.E.E.] Annual Conference & Trade Show. This event invites companies from across the country to come together to discuss new and exciting developments within the energy industry.

The theme of this year, "Modernizing Energy for Tomorrow," highlights the primary goal of the conference: to innovate and progress sustainable solutions in the energy industry. During the event, we delved into state-of-the-art technologies, exchanged pioneering ideas, and built connections that will drive ECF forward. All attendees were enthusiastic about exploring and shaping the future of energy.

During the conference, our team was invited to participate in the Diverse-Owned Business Showcase, an inspiring event that highlights the importance of diversity and inclusion within the energy industry.

The Diverse-Owned Business Showcase which featured about 30 vendors, was considerably smaller than the main event the following day which would have over 100 vendors. However, this allowed ECF to get more face time, create more personal relationships with larger utility companies, and demonstrate who ECF is as a company and our culture.

The team also got to attend informational sessions relating to each discipline in the power delivery industry. In these sessions, different utility companies gave presentations on new technology, solutions for common industry problems, new software or applications, or a new, interesting, or unique design that industry peers could learn from. By attending these sessions, ECF was able to walk away with a new way of looking at problems and solutions that we can use in real-world scenarios that we see every day.

Engaging with these vendors not only broadened our understanding of the innovative products, services, and solutions available but also helped us broaden our horizons by connecting with new people and clients we would not have met otherwise.

The showcase served as a valuable platform for building meaningful partnerships and exploring new avenues for collaboration, ultimately strengthening our collective efforts toward a more diverse and resilient energy future.

Overall, this event was very beneficial for ECF. We got to develop new relationships and reengage with old ones, learn about all the latest and greatest technology in the industry, and also got to meet and interact with important leaders in energy, especially those of diverse backgrounds and those who are at the forefront of great new developments!
