ECF's 2024 Employee of the Year Trip

At ECF, we take great pride in recognizing and celebrating the exceptional dedication and hard work of our employees. In 2025, the 2024 Employee of the Year, Attiyya Houston, was treated to an extraordinary trip to Belize — and what a trip it was. Traveling at the tail end of the rainy season in October, she enjoyed a serene experience with fewer tourists, allowing for a more immersive and personal adventure.

Belize was chosen for its perfect mix of rich culture, fascinating history, and breathtaking scenery. One of the highlights for Attiyya was visiting Xunantunich, a remarkable Mayan archaeological site that dates back to at least 700 A.D. Standing amidst ancient ruins, the sense of history was palpable, making it an incredible experience that truly transported them back in time.

The adventure continued with an exhilarating tubing excursion through a cave and along a river with some of the clearest water they've ever seen. The natural beauty of Belize was on full display, offering moments of awe and tranquility.

The trip culminated at Secret Beach, located in the northern part of

Ambergris Caye. There, they relaxed in warm, crystal-clear waters after a fun-filled kayaking session along the shoreline — the perfect way to unwind and soak in the tropical paradise.

Belize’s stunning landscapes, rich history, and warm hospitality truly made this trip a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Here’s to many more memorable journeys ahead!
