🏛️ Pahokee Community Worship & Multipurpose Facility – MEP Engineering by ECF
Client: [Religious Organization / Municipality] Location: Pahokee, Florida Facility Size: 2,000 SF Role: Engineer of Record – Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP)
🔧 Project Overview
ECF Engineering Consultants provided full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design services as the engineer of record for a new 2,000 SF multipurpose religious facility located in Pahokee, Florida. The facility serves dual functions as a house of worship and a flexible community gathering space, requiring highly adaptable, efficient, and code-compliant systems.
💡 System Highlights & Design Approach
Mechanical System:
Designed a high-efficiency HVAC system with zoning flexibility to support variable occupancy during religious services, community events, and weekday functions. Proper ventilation strategies were implemented to ensure excellent indoor air quality and occupant comfort.
Electrical System:
Included LED lighting throughout, with daylight-responsive controls and occupancy sensors to maximize energy savings. Electrical capacity planning accommodated AV systems, exterior lighting, and future expansion needs.
Plumbing System:
Engineered with low-flow fixtures and ADA-compliant layouts. System sizing was based on peak-use events while remaining cost-efficient for routine operations.
Code Compliance:
All systems were designed in compliance with the Florida Building Code, NEC, and ADA accessibility standards.
